Beginning January 1, 2026, all students enrolled in Thread Inspection (T&C, RSC, CC) and Visual Thread Inspection courses will complete a vision proficiency test before starting hands-on instruction.
This enhancement aligns with API’s latest recommended practices and reflects Gauge Training’s commitment to setting the highest standards in accuracy, compliance, and confidence.
Each student will complete the Gauge Training Vision Test, which includes two of the most trusted and accredited visual assessments:

Testing is scored on a Pass/Fail basis and conducted prior to gauge instruction to ensure visual capability for high-precision measurement.
