The Tubing & Casing course is based on API 5CT, 5B & 5B-1: Threading and Gauging of casing ,tubing and line pipe threads.
The Basic Gauge Measurement Instruction course for Tubing and Casing is designed to introduce, familiarize and teach correct gauging techniques for the proper measurement of tubing and casing threads utilizing equipment commonly found in the industry. The course is a full day, eight hour course comprising four sections with a break for lunch.
The student is given a history of gauge use, types of gauges and importance of proper gauging techniques followed by “hands on” gauging of various threads in both passing and failing condition. Students are tested for understanding and implementation of lessons and then graded to achieve passing completion of the course. Students are supplied with a Certificate of Completion, a course completion identification card and a course overview folder with reference materials for later use.
